Evacuation checklist

Be ready. Leave early. Stay safe.

Evacuation Warning = get set to leave. Evacuation Order = leave now. A simple plan helps you act quickly and calmly when a wildfire moves toward your neighborhood. Know what to pack, how to prepare your home, and where to go before a warning or order is issued.

    Sign up for alerts

    Register for emergency notifications and monitor fire and weather updates.

  2. 02

    Pack your go bag

    Medications, IDs, chargers, water, clothes, cash, and important documents.

  3. 03

    Prepare family & pets

    Plan where to meet and be ready to assist pets, children, seniors, and anyone needing extra help.

  4. 04

    Ready your home

    Close windows and doors, shut the garage, and bring in outdoor items if time allows.

  5. 05

    Know routes & leave early

    Have primary and backup routes, keep your vehicle fueled, and leave early when advised.

Follow official instructions and check for updates before and during evacuation.

Red Flag high-wind events

Strong winds. Dry conditions. High fire danger.

A Red Flag Warning means weather conditions are expected to produce a high risk of wildfires. Be aware, be prepared, and help protect our community.

    Clear combustibles around the house

    Move leaves, firewood, doormats, cardboard, and other flammable items away from the home.

  2. 02

    Bring trash cans & outdoor furniture inside

    Patio cushions, lightweight furniture, umbrellas, and trash cans go in the garage or indoors.

  3. 03

    Close all windows & doors

    Help keep embers and smoke from entering your home.

  4. 04

    Review your evacuation plan

    Know your routes, parking locations, and family communication plan in advance.

  5. 05

    Stay informed

    Monitor local alerts and weather forecasts. Sign up for emergency notifications.

Home Ignition Zone assessments

One-on-one wildfire education and science-based guidance for your home.

Learn what we observe, why it matters, and which improvements can reduce wildfire risk. You'll leave with a clearer understanding of your home's vulnerabilities and a confidential personalized report, typically within 24 hours. All inspections are performed by NFPA Certified Wildfire Mitigation Specialists.
